HGV Class 2 Driver / Loader
Location: Bristol, BS30
Pay: £34,417 per year (£16.49 per hour)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:45am – 3:15pm (40 hours per week)
Overtime: Available and paid at enhanced rates

The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, you'll be responsible for collecting household waste and recycling across South Gloucestershire while working alongside a dedicated crew.
This is a physically active role where you'll regularly leave the vehicle to assist with collections throughout the day, helping to keep local communities clean and making a real difference.
Your duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 collection vehicle safely and professionally
- Assisting with the loading and collection of household waste and recycling
- Completing daily routes efficiently as part of a close-knit team
- Delivering excellent customer service to local residents
- Working to strict health and safety standards at all times
- Operating Romaquip collection vehicles, with Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) when required
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Waste or recycling industry experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
Pay & Benefits
- Annual salary of £34,417 (£16.49 per hour)

- Time and a half Monday to Saturday

Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 6:45am – 3:15pm
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime available
- Easter Bank Holidays are worked as part of the rota
- Other Bank Holidays are replaced by working the following Saturday
