We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team,
Monday 9-4pm
Or
Fridays 9am-3pm
6-7 hours per week
Hours can be made flexible to an extent.
This role is a temporary role until October 1st 2026, with possibilities to extend after this date.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring that gardens and green spaces are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills within a supportive environment.
Duties
- Planting, watering, fertilising, and pruning a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
- Using hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes to maintain garden beds and lawns
- Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers to manage large areas efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed during all gardening activities
Skills
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable but a keen interest in gardening is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in gardening tasks
- Understanding of plant growth cycles and horticultural practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
- Organised with good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including digging, lifting, and manoeuvring equipment or plants
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics

Self employed basis £15 per hour. Own tools and vehicle preferred, but not essential. Good communication skills and physically fit to do the job are essential. Looking to start ASAP. Overtime hours available.
