About us:
Established over 50 years ago we are recruiting for a well-established business who specialise in the air-conditioning, refrigeration and commercial heating industries.
We are recruiting for an experienced senior commercial refrigeration engineer ideally located in South Yorkshire. You will be working on commercial equipment such as Ice machines, bottle coolers, display cabinets, walk in chillers/freezers, cellar coolers, cold rooms. If you have air conditioning experience you will also be working with vrvs/vrfs and splits.
Clients that you will be working on will include, Offices & Factories, Schools, Hospitals, Councils and small convenience stores
The role:
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Senior Refrigeration Engineer to join our branch. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer who is looking for reduced hours while remaining hands-on in the field.
This position does not require participation in the on-call standby rota. In addition to carrying out service, maintenance and repair work, you will play an important role in supporting and mentoring our trainee engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping to develop the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out service, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and refrigeration faults.
- Provide technical support and guidance to trainee engineers on-site.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, helping improve their technical knowledge and confidence.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work independently while supporting the wider engineering team when required.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- FGAS or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years recent experience working on Refrigeration equipment
- Driver’s Licence
