We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Workshop Production & Dispatch Operative to assist with the day-to-day running of our workshop. The role involves manufacturing and preparing sauna bench slats, packing customer orders, maintaining stock, and keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe.
Main Duties
- Cutting, sanding, checking and preparing timber bench slats to the required sizes and finish.
- Assisting with the production of sauna cladding, frames, salt products and other bespoke customer orders.
- Packing orders securely and preparing them for courier collection or delivery.
- Checking products for quality before dispatch and ensuring correct quantities are packed.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, stock and materials.
- Organising timber, salt bricks, fixings, adhesive and other workshop stock.
- Keeping the workshop, storage areas and workbenches clean, tidy and safe at all times.
- Removing waste materials and maintaining a clear working environment.
- Assisting with stock checks and reporting low stock, damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Using workshop machinery, hand tools and packing equipment safely.
- Helping with general warehouse, production and dispatch duties as required.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure customer orders are completed on time and to a high standard.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous workshop, manufacturing, warehouse or joinery experience is preferred, but training can be provided.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and willingness to learn how to use workshop machinery safely.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry and move materials safely.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions, measurements and job sheets accurately.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help with different tasks when needed.
- Forklift experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Working Hours
Working hours will be agreed depending on the role, workload and business requirements. Occasional overtime may be available during busy periods.
Pay
Pay will be based on experience, skills and performance.
Pay: £305.04-£457.56 per week
