Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Weekend Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents in a care home setting. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' wellbeing, and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to residents' needs, and have the ability to work independently during weekends. Previous experience in home care or care plans is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Support residents with their daily routines and activities, promoting independence where possible.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure each resident’s specific needs are met effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties within the care environment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
- Good IT skills for documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for supporting residents outside the care facility or for errands.

Pay: £12.71-£13.31 per hour
