We are looking for a flexible, positive, hard working individual to join our established team as an Assistant Handyman/Gardener at Betws-y-Coed Railway Station, in the heart of Eryri National Park.
The station is a very busy tourist destination. Our maintenance/garden team are essential in keeping a high standard of presentation for the thousands of visitors the village attracts each year. They are also responsible for the general maintenance of a private residence, and our associated businesses - Hangin' Pizzeria, Oriel Ospie, and Alpine Apartments.
This position is to assist our maintenance/garden team with their roles, including:
- Completing a daily set schedule of tasks to keep the station tidy and presentable
- Grounds maintenance and upkeep at the private residence
- Carrying out odd jobs when they arise
- Maintaining the plants and established garden areas, this could include mowing grass, trimming hedges, watering, weeding and planting.
- Assisting with artistic projects, installations and design related works where required.
Skills / Requirements
- Proven previous experience in the maintenance/gardening field
- The ability to work independently as well as a part of a small team
- Safe and competent use of hand and power tools
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Driver's Licence - As we are in a rural area your own transport is essential to get from the station to the private residence
We will provide all the tools and equipment you will need.
Salary to be determined upon interview.
This is a full-time (Monday-Friday), all year around position.
