We are looking to recruit a qualified plumber/ mechanical engineer to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance works and as well as a range of installation and upgrade projects to our varied customer base. The emphasis of the role will be on undertaking one-off project works which will comprise new installations as well as remedial works however, you will be expected to assist with day-to-day PPM tasks during busy/ fluctuating periods.
You will hold the City and Guilds / NVQ (Level 2 or higher) in plumbing with good knowledge of HSG 274/ ACoP L8 Guidelines and ideally, you will come from a water treatment/ water hygiene background with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Hours of work & location:
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to travel covering the north region, and will be provided with a company van and fuel card.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
TMV inspection, services and installs/ replacements
Expansion vessel installs, modifications and replacements
Flushing/ chlorination of buildings/ pipework (closed systems)
General plumbing tasks, deadleg removal, flexible hose removal, etc
CWST tank installation (project based)
Tank cleaning and chlorination works
Filtration service and install
Cooling tower cleaning and install
Internal calorifier inspection
Injection pipework chlorination works
Closed system flushing and dosing
Media changes
Service, install and commissioning of bespoke designed treatment systems
RPZ service work and installation
Qualifications & experience:
Previous experience in a similar role or looking for the next step up/ promotion
Previous experience working within Water Hygiene, Water Treatment, Process Water, Chemical Dosing, Cooling Towers, Closed Systems, Legionella industries
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong negotiation and problem solving abilities
A strong appreciation of customer service and customer experience
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritise work, remain calm and maintain standards when under pressure
Ability to take initiative, and when necessary, ability to be assertive
Remuneration, annual leave and benefits:
Salary range of £36,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) plus company van and fuel card
