Children’s Dance, Drama & Singing Teacher
A prestigious theatre school is seeking an exceptional and highly skilled Performing Arts Teacher to deliver outstanding training in dance, drama, and singing to young performers. The Role
You will deliver high-quality, structured training in your specialist discipline(s), contributing to a well-rounded performing arts education. Lessons should be inspiring, technically strong, and aligned with professional standards, while remaining engaging and supportive for young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert tuition in dance, drama, and/or singing at a professional standard
- Plan and execute structured lessons that develop technique, performance skills, and artistic expression
- Prepare students for examinations, showcases, and high-quality productions
- Maintain an inclusive yet disciplined learning environment that promotes excellence
- Contribute to the wider creative vision of the school and its performances
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and leadership
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and professional standards at all times
Essential Requirements
- Recognised professional qualifications in the subject(s) you teach (e.g. dance, drama, singing, or musical theatre)
- Formal training from an accredited institution or conservatoire
- Demonstrable experience teaching children within a structured performing arts setting
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to deliver high-level training
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Desirable
- Qualifications from recognised awarding bodies (e.g. LAMDA, RAD, ISTD, Trinity College London)
- Teaching qualification or equivalent professional certification
- Experience preparing students for graded examinations and professional performances
- First Aid and safeguarding certification
Hours & Location
Part-time, with sessions scheduled after school hours and weekends.
