Join our small , friendly team as a self-employed Holiday Let Housekeeper, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create memorable stays for our guests. In this role, you will be responsible , alongside our existing Housekeeper, for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall presentation of our holiday rental properties here on Fordie Estate. Your dedication and pride in your job ensures that each guest who visits us experiences a welcoming, spotless environment that exceeds expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team committed to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in the beautiful Strathearn valley.
Duties
- Thoroughly clean and prepare holiday rental properties between guest stays, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products.
- Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards and safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management for quick resolution.
- Manage laundry services efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment for easy access and safety compliance.
Skills
- A good work ethic and a great sense of humour are absolutely necessary!
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and alongside the existing team efficiently and within the turnover time scale.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with the rest of the Fordie Team.
- A reasonable level of fitness to perform cleaning tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning and hospitality settings.
This role is perfect for a someone looking for some weekend work , a semi-retired person who doesn't mind when they work , or someone looking for an extra income during school hours. The hours of work will fall between 10.30am - 3.00pm, Monday - Sunday, dependant on Guests check-in and out dates and the changeover rates vary from £55.00 - £85.00 dependant on each of the Properties. Fordie Estate is also on the main A85 bus route between Crieff and Comrie and would suit someone who thrives in a friendly and inclusive environment and who takes pride in delivering a first class service.
