We have more than three decades of security experience worldwide, specialising in: Diplomatic and High Profile protection, Specialist Security, Protective and Evidence Gathering Surveillance, CCTV, Event and Media Security and Residential Security.
We are looking to recruit a CCTV Operative to join our team in our Coalville CCTV control room. The CCTV control room is used to aid the Police in the prevention and detection of crime. You will work as part of a team, and play a key role in the day to day operation of the CCTV control room.
You will be working 22 hours per week, every Friday and Saturday evening (11hr shifts).

Main responsibilities may include:
- To operate, monitor and prioritise the use of CCTV cameras within the control room in a proactive/reactive manner.
- Operating and monitoring the Retail radio and Police radio systems.
- Conduct operating tasks related to the CCTV system, this will include monitoring and recording footage.
- Monitoring footage to detect crime and incidents.
- Maintaining daily logs, responding to review requests from stakeholders.
- Process digital viewing requests from the police and issue evidence packs to the police and other authorised agents for evidential purposes.
- To accurately record all events and actions monitored from within the control room.
- Recognise, report and monitor the resolution of any faults relating to the CCTV equipment.
- Occasional office cleaning (because of secure environment), screen and console cleaning.
- Ability to work and concentrate under pressure and cope with incidents calmly.
- Other duties that may be required from time to time.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) CCTV Operators License
- 5-year checkable work/career history.
- Experience in a similar role, would be as an advantage.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team.
- High level of concentration and observation.
- Good computer skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
Your essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- At least six months’ experience in a service or customer care environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – the ability to work with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to assess and react quickly to situations as they unfold.
- Ability to maintain accurate reports and records.
- Basic level MS word, excel.
Additional information
- The successful applicant will be subject to a vetting procedure, including a DBS check. You will not be appointed to the post until this vetting is successful.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle or the ability to travel to and from work during hours when public transport may not be accessible.
