Nuthurst Day Care is excited to announce the opening of our brand-new, stunning, purpose-built nursery set within spacious, beautifully designed grounds overlooking Nuthurst Park.
Thoughtfully created to provide an inspiring and nurturing environment, our setting offers exceptional indoor facilities alongside extensive outdoor provision, giving children the freedom to explore, learn, and thrive in natural surroundings.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and caring Baby Room Leader to join us at this exciting stage. This is a unique opportunity to help establish our baby room from the very beginning, creating a warm, loving and stimulating environment where our youngest children can flourish.
As one of our team members, you will play a key role in shaping the culture, routines and high standards of our nursery while building meaningful relationships with babies, families and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Baby Room, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
- Create a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports every baby's individual needs and development.
- Plan and deliver engaging experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Build secure, positive relationships with babies and their families.
- Support, inspire and mentor colleagues within the Baby Room.
- Complete observations, assessments and planning to support children's learning and development.
- Ensure the room is safe, welcoming and well organised at all times.
- Promote high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene.

What We're Looking For
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Essential: Previous experience working within a Baby Room in a nursery setting.
- Experience leading or supporting a team is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development, particularly for babies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
- A proactive, positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping establish a brand-new nursery.

- Plan and implement engaging daily activities tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that complies with all health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being
- Oversee the administration of daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, sleep schedules, and personal care
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of children's development milestones, attendance, and incident reports
- Foster a positive team culture focused on teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement
