Band 5 – Theatre Practitioner (Main Theatres & Other Specialities)

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Theatre team. Theatre scrub experience is desirable; however, full training and development opportunities will be provided to support your progression within the role.
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic practitioner who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and can work effectively as part of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or looking to develop your theatre career, we can offer excellent training and development opportunities across a wide range of specialities.
Deliver a high standard of patient care in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
Organise and manage the day‑to‑day running of allocated areas, as directed by the Specialty Manager/Team Leader and within own level of competence.
Take charge of clinical sessions as required to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Liaise with medical staff, senior nursing staff and other departments to support the smooth running of services.
Ensure all relevant staff are informed of changes to procedures, operating lists or service arrangements.
Supervise and support learners and junior staff in line with their level of competence and skill.
Ensure patients, relatives and ward staff receive appropriate information and that all documentation is completed accurately.
