Overview
We are seeking a friendly watersports enthusiast as a Shop Assistant to join our Watersports Shop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hobbies such as Surfing, SUP, Wing foiling and Windsurfing, engaging with customers and supporting the smooth operation of our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good terminology and skills within the watersports sector . This position is perfect for those looking to gain retail experience in a watersports enthusiast environment.
Duties
- Welcome customers warmly and assist with their enquiries about equipment and advice in a professional and friendly manner
- Keep website and social media pages up to date
- Check and respond to emails throughout the day
- Maintain the organisation and presentation of products on racks and displays
- Provide helpful advice.
- Restock shelves as needed and ensure the shop floor remains tidy and inviting
- Handle phone calls professionally, providing information or directing calls as appropriate
- Wrap and pack online orders
Skills
- Passion for Watersports including Surfing, Wing Foiling, Stand Up Paddleboarding or Windsurfing
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively and know terminology within the sports.
- Good computer skills in order to update stock and various other things on the website and social media pages
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock and maintain shop presentation
- Good phone etiquette when dealing with customer inquiries over the phone
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £10.85-£13.50 per hour
