Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards
- Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to keep machinery in top condition
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization
- Support heavy lifting tasks using mechanical aids or manual techniques, adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling procedures
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and documentation
- Mechanical knowledge or basic troubleshooting skills for equipment repair and maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members during shipping, receiving, and inventory management
