Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate self-employed Live-In Carer to provide personalised support and assistance to our mum in her own homes. Responsibilities
- Providing personalised care in clients’ homes, including assistance with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Developing and implementing customised care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Supporting clients with household tasks to promote independence and well-being.
- Maintaining clear communication with clients regarding their needs and preferences
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Managing administrative tasks related to care delivery using IT tools and documentation systems.
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Building trusting relationships through empathetic listening and respectful interaction.
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with clients and healthcare professionals.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients safely.
- Familiarity with the use of care-related technology or equipment is advantageous.
