This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in high standards, and thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Role Overview
You will work across two departments, helping ensure our bedrooms and public areas are spotless while also providing warm, professional service at reception. You’ll support the team during busy periods, cover reception when needed, and help maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Weekend working is required as part of the rota.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties
- Bedroom Cleaning — Clean and service guest rooms and bathrooms to a high standard
- Public Areas — Maintain corridors, stairways, and shared spaces
- Replenishment — Restock towels, linen, toiletries, and amenities
- Maintenance Reporting — Report damages or faults promptly
- Health & Safety — Follow COSHH, manual handling, and safety procedures
Reception Duties
- Guest Welcome — Greet guests warmly and assist with check‑in/check‑out
- Phone & Email Handling — Manage enquiries with professional communication
- Guest Support — Handle requests promptly and efficiently
- Front Desk Presentation — Keep reception organised and welcoming
- Admin Tasks — Assist with bookings, records, and guest information
- Cross‑Department Coordination — Work with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth operations
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years’ housekeeping or hospitality experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Friendly, approachable, guest‑focused attitude
- Confidence working independently on reception
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays (pro‑rata)
- Knowledge of hotel systems is a bonus (training provided)
