As part of the Charles Kendall Group, Charles Kendall Packing offer a range of product packing services for a variety of industries and clients across the globe.
Due to expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Case Maker/Export Packer to join our hard-working team to help deliver orders to our clients. Specialising in creating bespoke wooden cases, designed to our client’s specifications no matter the size or shape of the item.
Job Description
- Building quality wooden cases and crates (selecting, measuring, cutting timber using saws and hand tools)
- Assemble the case according to the required specification
- Moving product into place using forklift truck, crane and conveyors as appropriate
- Packing machinery into cases and onto pallets with suitable internal blocking and protection
- Keeping working area safe, clean and tidy
Person Specification
- Although experience would be preferred, with the right attitude we would be happy to give you full training
- A practical minded team player
- Competent with hand drills and tools
- Enjoy working with your hands
- Handy with wood cutting tools
- Attention to detail is crucial (to maintain asset value during transportation)
- Able to understand the design and check measurements
- Flexible to travel to client premises
Skills/Qualifications:
- Forklift Licence (advantage but Training will be available)
This role is based at our Southampton Branch.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
