SLEEP‑IN SUPPORT WORKER – FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Transpiring House – 16+ Semi‑Independent Supported Accommodation
Location: Redbridge, Greater London
⭐ ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable, calm person to join our small friendly team as a Sleep‑in Support Worker, covering 3 fixed nights per week. You will be on site overnight to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young people, and available if they need support or an emergency arises.
⏰ SHIFT TIMES & PAY
Full shift: 19:30 – 11:00 next day
19:30–23:00: Active duty @ £13.50/hr
23:00–09:00: Sleep‑in presence: £40 fixed allowance
09:00–11:00: Handover/active time @ £13.50/hr
Total approx £114.25 per full shift
Optional extra daytime hours available
✅ MAIN DUTIES
Be present on site overnight, follow all policies and safeguarding procedures
Respond calmly if a young person needs help or there is an incident
Complete accurate handover notes and basic logs
Support young people to feel safe and settled
Attend handover and team meetings as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Calm, reliable and mature approach
Good communication skills
Willing to complete Enhanced DBS check
Experience with young people is a bonus — great attitude is most important
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
