Operations & Logistics Coordinator
Salary: £29,000 / year Bonus: Realistic £5k/yr (Monthly)

ROLE SUMMARY
This role combines office-based administration and scheduling with active stock control, component purchasing,
and physical inventory oversight. The working day is split approximately 80% office-based and 20% in
stores/warehouse operations. It serves as the primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and installation crews.
Physical & Equipment Notice: Requires manual lifting and handling of heavy items (unpacking/repacking fireplaces
and components) and occasional forklift operation. No existing forklift licence is required—full training is provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock Control & Purchasing: Monitor stock levels and component shortages for ongoing contracts, conduct counts,
and place purchasing orders as required.
Goods Intake & Inspection: Unload deliveries via forklift or pump truck. Unpack, inspect for damage, count, label,
and repack heavy stock and components.
Crew Preparation: Stage all required materials, tools, and appliances each afternoon for morning crew departures.
Customer Administration: Book installation dates, collect balance payments, and process HETAS and Gas Safe
certification documents.
Dispatch & Collections: Package order shipments for courier collection (DPD/Swift) and coordinate customer
collections.
Site & Storage Maintenance: Maintain organized warehouse storage, monitor supplier delivery schedules, and
arrange skip exchanges.
REQUIREMENTS
Stock Management: Strong ability to track inventory, identify component shortages, and manage supplier
purchasing.
Physical Capability: Able to perform regular heavy lifting and manual handling (approx. 20% stores work).
Equipment: Willingness to learn and operate a forklift (full training supplied).
Skills: Clear phone communication and basic computer proficiency.
Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
