Main purpose of role:
Supporting the Group in carrying out the duties of the compliance function in areas relating to sales process, complaints, GDPR and FCA compliance, where required.
Location: Working from one of our locations across the UK. Working from Home and Hybrid working also possible after a probationary period.
Reporting to the Group Complaints and Compliance Assistant Manager.
This role is a part-time position – the ideal candidate would work Mon-Fri, 24 hrs per week spread across 3-5 days – exact work schedule to be agreed with the successful applicant.
Salary: £17K – 18K
- Promote a compliance culture.
- Training & Development: Deliver one to one and group training to Sales Associates and Managers and provide other means of support to help manage conduct and regulatory risk across the Group.
- Observational monitoring & quality assessing: Utilising mystery shops, Management Information, and other sales monitoring methods to work with businesses to develop and improve compliance with FCA regulations.
- Support the completion of audits by following up on improvement areas identified. Report on any compliance issues or further areas of improvement.
- Complaint handling including Group escalated complaints, support with legal cases, Alternative Dispute Resolution Service responses, root cause analysis of complaints and subsequent process improvements / feedback & coaching.
- Supporting Managers and Directors across the group in their handling of complaints and providing advice on relevant UK legislation and Consumer Law.
- Responding to Data Requests and managing data breaches.
- Review and authorisation of financial promotions and website compliance.
- Horizon scanning: Keeping up to date with the latest FCA news and regulatory changes.
- Proactively assessing existing processes and providing feedback to the Group for continuous improvement.
- Minimum Requirements
- Proven communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous complaint handling experience essential.
- Previous FCA compliance experience desirable.
- Motor Industry experience preferred.
- Passion for coaching, training, and motivating.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Methodical and diligent.
- Acts with honesty and integrity.
- You will have to provide a Basic DBS check and adverse financial background check.
