Key Responsibilities
Property & Tenancy Management
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance or compliance issues
- Coordinate check-ins and check-outs where required, ensuring properties are maintained to company standards
- Respond to tenant queries professionally and promptly, escalating issues where appropriate
- Maintain accurate tenancy records and property documentation
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to ensure a high standard of customer service
- Monitor property condition and recommend improvements where necessary
Maintenance & Compliance
- Log and triage maintenance issues, coordinating repairs with approved contractors
- Arrange contractor access for repairs, servicing, and statutory inspections
- Monitor completion of routine maintenance and compliance requirements, including EICRs, EPCs, Gas Safety Certificates, fire safety checks, and other statutory obligations
- Carry out basic property condition assessments and identify preventative maintenance requirements
- Maintain accurate health & safety and compliance records, supporting the central compliance team
- Ensure contractors complete works to the required standard and within agreed timescales
Reporting & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate records across the residential portfolio using property management software and Microsoft Excel
- Report occupancy, maintenance trends, and operational issues to senior management
- Support the wider operations team to ensure properties are managed efficiently
- Ensure all property records and tenant information remain GDPR compliant
- Contribute to continuous improvements in property management processes and service delivery
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 2+ years' experience in residential property management
- Strong understanding of residential property management and landlord compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently across multiple properties
- Experience using property management software and Microsoft Office
- Practical, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Familiarity with Sheffield and the surrounding rental market
- Experience managing multi-unit residential portfolios
- Knowledge of current residential property legislation and compliance requirements
- Interest in developing a long-term career within a growing property business
