This position is vital in supporting the Nottinghamshire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE), chaired by the Cabinet Member for Education and SEND. As Secretary to SACRE , your key responsibilities will include:

Providing expert support and advice to SACRE.

Leading and coordinating Religious Education network meetings across Nottinghamshire.

Revising the Nottinghamshire school's religious education syllabus as required by the Department for Education (DfE).

Preparing annual reports related to SACRE activities.

Advocating for the importance of religious education and fostering understanding of various worldviews.
To excel in this role, you should possess:

A strong educational background, ideally with qualifications in education or religious studies.

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education or a religious context.

Familiarity with statutory requirements related to religious education.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
