Support Worker – Basildon
£13.50–£15.00 per hour | 30 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Moving Forward Essex is a growing outreach provider supporting autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live more independent, fulfilling lives.
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team in Basildon.
This role involves providing 1:1 support to a young autistic adult, helping them build confidence, develop independence and access their local community in a safe and meaningful way.
Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred 1:1 support.
- Supporting community access and meaningful activities.
- Promoting independence and daily living skills.
- Building a positive, trusting relationship.
- Working alongside families and professionals.
- Completing electronic care records.
Essential Requirements
- Caring, patient and reliable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, person-centred approach.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience supporting autistic people or people with learning disabilities is desirable, but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.
