Shift Pattern
- Week 1: 3 x 5.5-hour shifts
- Week 2: 4 x 5.5-hour shifts
- Shift Times: 9:00am – 2:30pm
- Alternate weekend working required
The Firs Care Home (DY3 4AE) is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and caring Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team.

Your Responsibilities
As a Domestic Cleaner, you will:
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the care home.
- Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, offices and other designated areas.
- Ensure all fixtures, fittings and furnishings are cleaned and cared for appropriately.
- Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with manufacturer instructions.
- Follow COSHH guidance and all infection prevention and control procedures.
- Display appropriate warning signs, such as wet floor signs, whenever required.
- Complete cleaning schedules and rotas set by management.
- Report any maintenance concerns, hazards or damaged equipment promptly.
- Use cleaning supplies responsibly and economically.
- Work as part of a team to provide a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.
- Attend mandatory training and team meetings as required.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the home.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
- Has a positive, reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is physically able to carry out a busy, active role involving standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching and manual handling throughout the shift.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Has a genuine commitment to supporting older people by helping create a comfortable and homely environment.
