Job Summary
This will be a brand new coffee shop looking to open end of August. This coffee shop is apart of the Royal Hotel, Whitley Bay
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, food preparation, and customer service within a vibrant setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, following company standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage customer payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces.
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygienic standards are upheld.
- Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, utensils, and packaging materials.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience would be great but not essential as training can be provided.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
