Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the preparation and service of food and beverages at various events and establishments. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving guests, and ensuring high standards of food safety and cleanliness are maintained throughout their shift.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking, meal assembly, and presentation to meet event requirements
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring excellent guest services
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Replenish supplies during service periods to ensure smooth operation throughout service hours
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
- Strong communication skills with good phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic cooking skills or culinary experience preferred
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent guest service skills
- Organised with attention to detail in all aspects of work including meal presentation and cleanliness
- Flexibility on days with weekend availibility required.
- Opening hours 8am to 4pm - 7 days per week.
