Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their own residences. The successful candidate will support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting their dignity and preferences
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safe handling at all times
- Help with domestic chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation according to care plans
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and document accordingly
- Maintain clear communication with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each client’s specific needs and preferences
- Report any changes in the client’s condition or environment to the supervising team promptly
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes efficiently and accurately
- Drive between client locations using own vehicle or company vehicle where applicable
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with reliable access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Good command of English language, both written and verbal, for clear communication
- Strong IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals in their own homes

Pay: £12.21-£17.95 per hour
