We are looking for an experienced Carpenter/ Foreman to join our growing team, overseeing and delivering a range of small works and refurbishment projects across residential and commercial properties.
This is a hands-on role that combines site management with practical carpentry. You'll be responsible for coordinating projects from start to finish while also carrying out carpentry work where required to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple small works and refurbishment projects.
- Plan, organise, and coordinate labour, subcontractors, and materials.
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry as required.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and the office team.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure company standards are maintained.
- Complete site paperwork, progress reports, and health and safety documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Resolve site issues and maintain excellent communication throughout each project.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, Working Foreman, or Carpenter with supervisory experience.
- Strong carpentry background with the ability to undertake hands-on work when required.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience managing small refurbishment, maintenance, or fit-out projects.
