We are looking to recruit a Design Technician Apprentice, who will be based in our Headquarters in Doncaster, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Job Role
During the apprenticeship you will be developed through training and mentorship to design and configure switch & crossing drawings and provide appropriate information for the manufacture and delivery of rail related components and S&C layouts.
Once suitably competent, they will be responsible for ensuring all drawings and other technical information is provided on time and in accordance with engineering standards and specifications and is in accordance with safety, quality and environmental legislation.
You will also be involved in the creation of 2D CAD assembly (layout) type engineering drawings, configuration of 2D CAD Works Sketches for production and creation of Materials Lists.
You will take an active role in adhering to industry design and quality standards and complete all necessary off the job assignments on time and to the correct standard.

Qualifications and Experience Levels
- Educated to a minimum of four GCSE level 4 or C including English, Maths and Science or equivalent.
- No experience is necessary as all training will be provided through the Level 3 Apprenticeship framework.
