We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting windows doors, and glazing efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics services.
Delivery requirements are both local and national
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Load and unload items with care, ensuring all cargo is secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Assist with organising delivery schedules and managing time effectively throughout shifts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience in the window industry
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles or lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently on busy schedules.
- Good communication skills, with a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks. This role is ideal for candidates who are committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety standards on the road.
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
