Project Manager – London Roof Gardens (Domestic Roof‑Terrace Construction)

Role Overview
London Roof Gardens is seeking a Project Manager to oversee 2–3 live projects at a time, each involving the transformation of domestic flat roofs into high‑quality roof‑terrace spaces. The role requires strong coordination skills, excellent communication, and the ability to keep multiple moving parts running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight — Manage day‑to‑day operations across several roof‑terrace builds, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Scheduling & Planning — Create and maintain project schedules, book trades, organise site access, and ensure all works progress in the correct sequence.
- Material Procurement — Order materials, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to avoid delays.
- Technical Liaison — Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and building control to ensure drawings, revisions, and approvals are aligned with the build programme.
- Site Coordination — Oversee contractors, monitor workmanship, and ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Client Communication — Provide regular updates to homeowners, manage expectations, and maintain a professional, friendly relationship throughout the project.
- Problem Solving — Identify issues early, propose solutions, and keep projects moving without disruption.
Required Experience & Skills
- Construction Project Management experience, ideally within residential or small‑scale structural works.
- Strong understanding of roofing, decking, steelwork, or general construction sequencing.
- Confident communicating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read drawings and understand structural/architectural details.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
