Your Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll be a key member of the team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the home.
You'll lead shifts, support your colleagues and provide high-quality care to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Working alongside the Registered Manager and wider leadership team, you'll help create a home that is safe, structured and nurturing, a place where young people can feel secure, build positive relationships and work towards better outcomes.
This could be the ideal next step for an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to progress, or an existing Senior Support Worker looking for a role where their experience and leadership skills can really make an impact.

- Previous experience within a children's residential care setting
- Experience leading shifts, supervising colleagues, or the confidence and ability to step into a leadership role
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
- A calm, resilient and child-centred approach
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and high-quality residential childcare
- A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
Most importantly, you'll care about the standards you set, the team you support and the young people you're there to help.
More Than a Senior Role
Being a Senior Residential Support Worker isn't simply about being the most experienced person on shift.
It's about setting the tone.
It's about helping your colleagues feel confident, making good decisions when things are challenging and ensuring every young person receives consistent, compassionate care.
The relationships you build and the example you set can influence the entire home.
You won't just be supporting young people to move forward, you'll be helping the team around them do the same.
