We are looking for a Kitchen Chef to join our Italian restaurant. The Chef's duties are: menu execution, food preparation and quality control. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Italian cuisine, experience in a fast-paced kitchen, and a genuine love for creating exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times, as well as assisting with food preparation. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Prepare and execute a variety of authentic Italian dishes with consistency and precision
- Supervise kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and weekly specials
- Train, motivate, and support the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and morale
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environmentWashing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
- Preparing food dishes
- Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters
- Ensuring standard portions and quality of dishes
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans
- Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
