Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalised care.

Duties
- Assist residents and clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, personal care, and mobility, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and dignity are maintained.
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering strictly to relevant procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with legal and organisational requirements.
- Communicate effectively with residents, clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Support with light domestic tasks within care settings or clients' homes to promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Drive or accompany residents and clients on outings, appointments, and other activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have an existing valid DBS check.
- Must hold relevant care or healthcare training certificates.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents, clients, families, and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and respect when supporting individuals in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced care environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, dignity, and person-centred care.
