We're looking for an experienced Studio Artworker to join our busy pre-press studio team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who takes pride in producing accurate artwork and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, checking and processing client artwork for proofing and large format print production.
Working closely with Client Services, Sales and Production, you will ensure artwork is produced accurately, efficiently and in line with client specifications, maintaining the highest standards throughout every stage of the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, amend and check customer artwork for print production.
- Process artwork accurately from file receipt through to final archive.
- Produce press-ready files in accordance with client briefs and internal procedures.
- Meet studio and production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Identify and communicate artwork or production issues promptly.
- Monitor studio time against estimates and highlight variances where appropriate.
- Provide technical support and advice to internal departments.
- Maintain organised file structures and accurate documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in studio processes and workflow.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least three years' experience within a print production studio.
- Strong knowledge of large format print production processes.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop (Mac).
- Experience preparing print-ready artwork, including cutters, spot colours, white ink and CAD paths.
- Knowledge of RIP software and file imposition.
- Good understanding of colour management, proofing and print production.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

Essential Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Previous experience within a print production environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
