Finance Manager – Engineering
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Controls team within the wider Group Financial Control function at easyJet. In this role, you will lead the Engineering Accounting team, managing one Financial Accountant and one Assistant Accountant, and provide full financial ownership of the profit and loss and balance sheet for Engineering and Navigation costs.
You will be responsible for handling actuals, driving month-end processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, while still being hands-on where necessary. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and become a key business partner to Engineering and Navigation, learning about these areas and contributing immediate value.

Requirements of the Role
What you need to do the role
We are on the hunt for a proactive, self-motivated qualified accountant with at least 3 years post-qualified experience to join our team. You will have excellent analytical skills, a strong grasp of variance analysis, and the ability to interpret complex financial data, including balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L, with high attention to detail.
You’ll be adept at managing your time across multiple projects, delivering detailed insights to support the business while meeting tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be expected to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment, demonstrating initiative and offering solutions. Advanced Excel skills (including basic macros) and experience with Planning Analytics are preferred, while aviation experience is a plus but not essential. LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
