Sales Representative (UK Travel)

Taylor Engineering is a well-established, family-run manufacturing business specialising in high-quality welded and machined components for refuse vehicles. Known for our precision, durability, and reliability, we supply waste management companies across the UK with parts built to perform.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a driven and motivated Sales Representative to expand our customer base, strengthen relationships, and represent our brand across the UK.
The Role
This is a primarily field-based sales role, involving regular UK travel to meet customers, generate new business, and promote our range of parts and services.
You will be responsible for managing your own schedule, developing relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow sales within the waste and vehicle sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel across the UK to meet customers and generate new business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with waste management companies and service providers
- Promote Taylor Engineering’s products, capabilities, and service offering
- Identify new opportunities and follow up on leads
- Provide market and customer feedback to support product development
Additional Responsibilities (Occasional Office Support)
- Provide office-based support during periods of staff annual leave only
- Assist with order processing, emails, and general administrative tasks when required
This role is sales-focused, with office support required only occasionally.
About You
- Confident, professional communicator with a friendly approach
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on the road
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload
- Computer confident (emails, order systems, basic admin)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Experience in refuse vehicle parts or a similar industry is advantageous but not essential
