Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and basic meal components under supervision
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Help with portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly, reporting any issues promptly
- Support inventory management by organising supplies and ingredients as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Contribute positively to team efforts, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt
Qualifications
- Passion for cooking and interest in developing culinary skills
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and food safety practices
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions carefully
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
