Gas Engineer (Domestic & Commercial)

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of domestic and commercial gas works across our portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
You must be confident working independently, diagnosing faults, and delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Boiler installations, servicing and repairs
- Boiler breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
- Landlord Gas Safety Certificates (CP12)
- Commercial gas servicing and maintenance
- Domestic gas servicing and maintenance
- Installation, servicing and replacement of HIU (Heat Interface Units)
- Central heating installations and repairs
- Radiator installations, replacements and balancing
- Cylinder installations and replacements
- Pipework installations, alterations and repairs
- Power flushing heating systems
- Gas leak detection and repairs
- Commissioning and testing gas appliances
- Fault finding on heating and hot water systems
- Installation and replacement of thermostats, programmers and controls
- Underfloor heating fault diagnosis (desirable)
- Emergency reactive call-outs
- Ensuring all works comply with current Gas Safe regulations and Building Regulations
- Completing job reports, certificates and documentation accurately
- Liaising professionally with tenants, landlords, property managers and office staff.
Essential Requirements
- Current Gas Safe Registration
- Domestic ACS Qualifications
- Commercial Gas Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer
- Experience installing boilers and heating systems
- Experience working on HIU units
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of central heating systems
- Basic plumbing knowledge and experience
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Own tools
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
- LPG (advantageous)
- Unvented Hot Water (G3) Qualification
- Water Regulations (WRAS)
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Experience working with estate agents and property management companies
- Electrical fault-finding knowledge (beneficial)
