We are a multi-disciplined, chartered construction company delivering high-quality works across the residential sector. Our services include full property renovations, gas and heating systems, electrical installations, renewable energy solutions, including air source heat pumps and solar PV/battery storage, and general maintenance.
Following the award of a number of major contracts, we are looking for an experienced Electrician's Mate to join our team on a self-employed basis to support a large-scale programme of refurbishment works within void residential properties.
The Role
You will be working alongside our qualified electricians delivering full electrical installations, rewires and refurbishment works to void residential properties. The role requires a reliable, skilled and motivated individual who is capable of assisting with all aspects of domestic electrical installations while maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety.
All works will be based across the Flintshire and Wirral areas.
Key Responsibilities
Typical duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting electricians with full domestic rewires
- Supporting first and second fix electrical installations
- Installing containment, back boxes, sockets, switches and lighting
- Assisting with the installation of consumer units, smoke alarms and extractor fans
- Pulling cables and preparing electrical installations
- Loading and unloading tools, materials and equipment
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe at all times
- Identifying and reporting defects or issues to the supervising electrician
- Following all electrical safety procedures and site health & safety requirements
- Assisting with testing and commissioning where required
- Working efficiently to programme deadlines whilst maintaining high standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Electrician's Mate
- Experience working on void property refurbishments, domestic rewires and residential construction projects
- ECS Card (preferred) or CSCS Card
- Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification (City & Guilds, EAL or equivalent) preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own vehicle
- Good understanding of domestic electrical installations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
