Triangle House Nursery is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistant to join our lovely team.
If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys being around children, loves getting involved in their play and learning, and wants to make a difference to their day, we’d love to hear from you.
At Triangle House, no two days are the same! You could be getting stuck into messy play, exploring our outdoor spaces, helping children at mealtimes, joining in with stories and songs or simply being there to support a child as they learn something new.
We’re looking for someone who is kind, enthusiastic and reliable, with a real passion for working with young children. You’ll be part of a friendly team where everyone works together to give our children the best possible start.
Our nursery is open from 7am to 6.15pm, and your working day will be an 8-hour shift between these hours.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting children throughout their day, including play, mealtimes, sleep times and activities.
- Getting involved in children’s learning and helping to create fun and exciting experiences.
- Supporting children both indoors and outdoors – we make the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces!
- Helping children to develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Working closely with the rest of the team to provide a safe, happy and welcoming environment.
- Helping to keep the nursery clean, organised and safe.
- Supporting with observations, records and children’s progress.
- Following the nursery’s policies and procedures to ensure children are always safe and well cared for.
What we’re looking for
We’d love someone who:
- Has experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Is caring, patient and genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
- Is confident communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
- Works well as part of a team but is also happy to use their own initiative.
- Is enthusiastic and willing to get involved – whether that’s painting, dancing, playing outside or getting covered in playdough!
- Is flexible and able to adapt to the busy nature of nursery life.
- Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn and develop.
A driving licence would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Why join Triangle House?
We’re a close-knit nursery team and we believe that happy staff help create happy children. We want our team to feel supported, valued and able to enjoy coming to work.
You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced early years practitioners, build your skills and be part of a nursery where children are at the heart of everything we do.
If you’re looking for a role where you can have fun, get messy, make a difference and be part of a lovely team, we’d love to hear from you!
