Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Gas Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across a variety of residential settings. Your expertise will ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair gas appliances, hot water cylinders (vented and unvented), radiators and valves, heating controls and related equipment in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Ideally be proficient in electrical heating controls, smart thermostats etc as well as S and Y plan wiring
- Conduct routine maintenance and landlord checks on gas systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently
- Attend emergency boiler and system repair callouts. Diagnose and repair any faults
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and repairs made for compliance purposes using the provided software
- Be confident working to installation specifications and instructions
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to protect yourself, colleagues, and clients at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in the above areas
- Strong knowledge of gas systems, safety standards, and relevant regulations
- Skilled in soldering, piping, system design and correct operation
- Ideally confident in the understanding of S & Y plan wiring and heating controls (NOT ESSENTIAL - training can be given on this)
- G3 unvented qualified
