Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of childcare, and create a nurturing environment for young learners. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering positive relationships with parents, and promoting a safe and engaging setting for children.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years provision.
Ensure compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
Support, supervise, and develop staff through regular training and performance management.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
Oversee nursery administration, record-keeping, and operational procedures.
Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across the setting.
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the nursery's strategic development.
Act as the main point of contact between the nursery and the Board of Directors, ensuring they are kept informed of key developments, challenges, and opportunities within the setting.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above (Level 5 or Degree preferred).
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements ensuring regulatory standards are met
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Commitment to providing outstanding care and education for young children.
