The Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed Children’s Residential Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Sudbury, Suffolk. This is a key leadership position focused on delivering outstanding outcomes through a therapeutic, trauma-informed model of care, supported by a Regional Manager and an established regional clinical team, including a dedicated Psychologist and Therapist aligned to your home and region.
You will lead and develop a high-performing care team, drive excellence in safeguarding, quality and compliance, and create a positive, child-centred and inclusive culture. Responsibilities will also include managing operational performance, budgets and service development, coaching future leaders, and working closely with central clinical and specialist advisory teams.
About You:
You will bring a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within Children’s Residential care, along with strong leadership and a commitment to high standards of care and safeguarding.
You will also have:
- Achieved or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s management qualification)
- Experience supporting children and young people affected by trauma
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding, including The Children Act 1989 and Children’s Home Regulations
- Experience of budgets and financial management
- A full UK driving licence
