Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our Client in NG6 Bulwell.
.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all driving tasks.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type (e.g., HGV or flatbed).
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset, enabling basic troubleshooting of vehicle issues.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
