Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
Bughties Nursing Home (previously Elder Lea Manor) is a traditional Tudor style building located in the beautiful residential heart of Broughty Ferry enjoying extensive gardens and views over the River Tay. We provide nursing care to 28 frail elderly residents with various health and social care needs.
Job Summary:
Join our team at Bughties Care Home as a Healthcare Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will assist in the daily care and support of individuals in a home care setting. This position requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meals
- Support the nursing staff in implementing care plans and monitoring residents' health
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents
- Drive to appointments or outings as needed
Experience:
- Prior experience in a care home or home care setting is required
- Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with care plans and basic IT skills is an advantage
