We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join an educational setting in Hereford, supporting students aged 16–19.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping young people reach their full potential. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide effective support to students both in the classroom and throughout their college day.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
- Support students to engage positively with their learning.
- Assist teaching staff in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.
- Provide support to students with a range of additional learning needs.
- Encourage students to participate fully in lessons and college activities.
- Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
- Have experience supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs, although this is not essential.
- Are patient, supportive and approachable.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are committed to helping young people achieve their potential.
- Can work effectively as part of a wider teaching and support team.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with positions commencing 1st September 2026 on an ongoing basis.
Pay: £101.68-£156.34 per day
