Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth workflow. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Supporting the organisation and cleanliness of kitchen workstations and storage areas
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed to facilitate smooth service operations
- Adhering to all health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen procedures is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexibility to work shifts as required within hospitality settings
