Baltic Electric Ltd is looking for an organised and reliable Solar PV Administrator / Renewables Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our solar PV, battery storage and electrical projects.
This is a flexible part-time / casual role to begin with, with hours offered depending on workload. The role may suit someone looking for flexible work around existing commitments, another part-time role or family responsibilities.
Previous experience in solar PV, renewables, electrical contracting, construction or compliance administration would be a strong advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
The successful candidate will help manage customer enquiries, job paperwork, engineer coordination, solar project documentation, DNO applications and MCS handover packs.
Main Duties
- Answering calls and responding to customer emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Handling new enquiries and helping to book surveys, appointments and installations.
- Liaising with customers, electricians, installers, roofers, scaffolders and suppliers.
- Preparing and maintaining job folders and project records.
- Chasing customers, engineers and installers for missing information, photographs and documentation.
- Assisting with solar PV and battery storage project administration.
- Supporting the preparation of Easy PV, OpenSolar or similar project information where required.
- Assisting with G98 and G99 DNO applications.
- Helping to prepare MCS documentation, handover packs, warranties, datasheets and certificates.
- Updating job management systems and keeping project information accurate.
- Supporting quotations, invoices, supplier orders and general office administration.
- Helping to ensure jobs move smoothly from initial enquiry through to completion and handover.
- Attending regular in-person team meetings, usually once per week.
- Attending occasional company, networking and renewable-energy industry events where agreed in advance.

- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PDFs and online portals.
- Able to manage multiple jobs and tasks at the same time.
- Able to chase information from customers, engineers, installers and suppliers.
- Reliable, proactive and able to follow established processes.
- Willingness to learn about solar PV, battery storage and compliance administration.
- Able to attend regular in-person meetings in the London area.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be useful but is not essential:
- Solar PV or battery storage administration.
- Electrical contractor or construction administration.
- Easy PV, OpenSolar or similar solar design and administration software.
- Fergus, SimPRO, Joblogic, ServiceM8, Tradify or similar job management software.
- G98 and G99 DNO applications.
- MCS certificates and handover documentation.
- Working with engineers, installers, subcontractors or site teams.
- Preparing compliance paperwork, certificates, customer handover packs or job documentation.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and able to take ownership of administrative tasks. You do not need to be a solar expert, but you must be willing to learn and be comfortable dealing with customers, engineers and paperwork.
The right person will be able to keep jobs moving, identify missing information, follow up with the relevant people and help ensure that projects are properly documented from start to finish.
Hours and Working Arrangement
This is a flexible part-time / casual role to begin with.
Hours are expected to start at approximately 5–10 hours per week, depending on workload, with the potential for more regular hours as the business grows.
The role will be mainly remote, with regular in-person meetings in the London area, typically once per week. The successful candidate should also be available to communicate with customers, engineers and suppliers during agreed normal business hours.
There may also be opportunities to attend company meetings, networking events, trade exhibitions and renewable-energy industry events. Any required attendance will be discussed and agreed in advance.
Pay
£15–£20 per hour depending on experience.
Candidates with previous experience in solar PV, renewables, electrical contracting, G98/G99 applications, MCS administration, Easy PV or OpenSolar are likely to be considered toward the upper end of the advertised range.
