Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Third in Charge & Curriculum Lead to join our vibrant and welcoming nursery. Responsibilities
- Assist the management team in supervising daily nursery operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Lead curriculum planning by designing innovative, developmentally appropriate activities that promote early childhood learning and development
- Support and mentor nursery staff to uphold high standards of childcare and education
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth among children
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and daily experiences
- Contribute to staff training sessions, sharing best practices in early childhood education and childcare techniques
- Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and safety protocols
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members when needed
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance curriculum quality and overall nursery operations
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting with leadership responsibilities
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare environments
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and nursery best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and support staff teams
- Childcare qualifications or certifications relevant to early childhood education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience working specifically within nursery settings is highly preferred
- Valid driving license is advantageous for transportation duties or outreach activities
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by nursery operations
